New litter has arrived!

Milo and Bella have had their second litter! They were born some time early Saturday morning(10/29/2011). Unfortunately, she had the pups down in one of their burrows, so I can't get any good pictures of them. They look very healthy and I can see their little milk spots in their bellies, so she's keeping them fed good. I can't get a clear count on them either, but I believe there are 5-6 pups. Looks like I will have some more beautiful solid and pied Lilac pups available in a few weeks! Milo and Bella produce gorgeous Lilacs. This is also the same couple who produced the DPP in their last litter, so I am looking forward to seeing if they have another one. I will get pictures and more information up on the babies as soon as I can. Right now I am letting the family get settled in and comfortable.

Update on Pinky & Jasper's pups

I moved the 3 pups to their own tank last night. They are now 6 weeks old and were starting to overcrowd mom and dad lol. They are definitely all 3 males, so they would be perfect for someone who is looking for a trio for a 20-30 gallon tank. All three are very playful and quite the handful, but they get along wonderfully. Below are pictures I took of them having a blast destroying a cheap box of Kleenex's I gave them to celebrate their very own tank! They worked this box of Kleenex's over for almost 3 hours last night lol.

**Note: They will be ready to go to their forever homes on 11/5/2011, so please email me at fleurdelisgerbils@gmail.com if you can provide this trio with a loving home!

Registered!

My registration for the American Gerbil Society came through finally! I can now be found through their Breeders page on their website. I posted a link at the bottom of my page if you would like to take a look around their site. It's filled with good information on caring for your gerbils, as well as information on the different colors and the genetics of gerbils.

Update On Available Pups!

I have found homes for all of my weaned babies. They should all be going to their new homes by the end of this week or sooner. I will still have my 3 unweaned babies of Pinky and Jasper's, so if you are interested in them, please let me know soon so I can reserve them for you. They are still not old enough for me to determine which are males or females. They should be ready to go to their forever homes by 11/05/2011. They will be 8 weeks old at that time. I should be able to tell in the next week or so which are male or female. Right now they are still to young for me to be 100%. All three are very playful. They wrestle and bounce all around the cage. I have individual pictures of all three on my "Litters" page. Two of them are Pied Argente Goldens and one is a Pied Agouti.

Please email me at fleurdelisgerbils@gmail.com for more information or to place a reserve!

Welcome!!

Welcome to Fleur De Lis Gerbils! I hope you enjoy my site. I am working on becoming registered with the American Gerbil Society right now. Fingers crossed, I should be hearing back from them soon.

I am hoping that you will find my gerbils to be a great alternative to purchasing from the pet stores. All of my gerbils are very well taken care of and are used to being handled often. I do have babies that will be available by 10/17/2011. I am working on getting good pictures of them for this site.

Right now I have 2 Pied Lilacs(boys), 1 Solid Agouti(boy), 1 spotted Black(boy), 3 Solid Lilacs(1 girl, 2 boys), and 2 Pied Doves(girls). I also have 3 unweaned babies that should be ready by the end of October or early November. They are 2 Pied Red-eyed Honeys and 1 Pied Agouti. They are not old enough for me to determine if they are male or female yet.

If you are interested in a pair, please contact me and I will email you a picture if I don't have one up of them yet.
