We still do not have pups. I'm not sure what is going on with Maddie and McGee, but they have just stopped producing. I am still going to leave them together, just in case. I want to apologize to all of the people who are on my Reserve List. Unfortunately, this is just out of my control. I am working on getting another female to pair with Boo. Hopefully I will be able to pick her up from the other breeder here in Indiana this weekend. However, she will only be 7 weeks old, not old enough to have pups. She will not be able to have pups until she reaches 5 months old. I will still be searching for a pair that will be able to produce pups sooner. In the meantime, it looks like it will be a while before I will have pups available.
On a brighter note, we rescued a 7 month old female spotted Siamese gerbil this weekend. She's in need of alot of TLC right now. From what I could gather, she had just been dropped in with an older female instead of being properly introduced through a split cage, and ended up being attacked by the female. She was being kept on Aspen bedding, which normaly is fine, but she is allergic to it. Her little nose was bloody and swollen, and hair was missing from it when we got her. We have her on Carefresh bedding now and her nose is already looking better. We've named her Sophie. She has a very sweet personality. I snapped these pictures of her Monday evening.
